Tanker Explodes While Offloading Diesel In A Petrol Station In Anambra (Photos)

There was a tanker explosion in the early hours of this morning, January 22 at one ‘Great V-Max Oil and Gas petrol station in Anambra State. HGS Media Plus reports.

The incident happened along Nnobi road, Otolo Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of the State.

According to report, the fire started from the tanker laden with AGO gas inside the petrol station while discharging it’s content.

Consequently, the truck was gutted by fire which burnt down the petrol station, a motorcycle and a shop nearby.

HGS Media Plus learnt that the fire service responded swiftly after being contacted and the fire was put off.

However, the DPO of Otolo Nnewi police Division, CSP Hassn Lawal and other security Agencies mobilised to the scene of the incident to prevent looting.

No casualties or injures were recorded.
