Anambra Police Arrests Thirteen Illegal Revenue Collectors (Photos)

The Anambra State police led by ACP John Ogbuagbaka have arrested thirteen illegal revenue collectors. HGS Media Plus reports.

The suspects were arrested on Wednesday, January 20.

ACP John and his team made the arrest while on a patrol along upper iweka, Oba ringroad and Owerri road all in Onitsha.

It was gathered that the suspects confessed to the crime, claiming they were hired by one ” Jonjoloko” who told them to enforce the collections of the revenue on government behalf.

HGS Media Plus learnt that the operation was in compliance with the Anambra State Government directives on the 7th of December 2020 which bans all form of illegal collection.

The Public Relations Officer, CSP Haruna Mohammed who confirmed the arrest warned citizens from engaging in the act or be ready to face the full wrath of the law.
