A woman was killed by a stray bullet during a sporadic shooting by some police officers of the ‘Operation Delta Hawk’ unit in Asaba. HGS Media Plus reports.
The incident happened on Tuesday night December 22 in Asaba, Delta State capital.
According to report gathered by HGS Media Plus, some officers were in pursuit of two young men in a vehicle when they suddenly opened live rounds on them on the road.
Unfortunately, the bullet hit a woman who was selling at a corner of the road killing her instantly.
HGS Media Plus gathered that the officers shot the driver driving the car while they were in pursuit.
Human Right Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu who was present at the scene along with other residents took the corpse of the woman to the Government house to demand justice.
However, the driver was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
