Three out of six robbers have been arrested by Operation Akpakwu unit after attacking a policeman on gun point in Calabar, Cross River State Capital. HGS Media Plus reports.
The incident happened on Sunday night, December 27 at Chief Obot street, the State housing Estate in Municipal Local Government Area of Calabar.
HGS Media Plus gathered that Operation Akpakwu unit confronted the robbers in a gun battle which led to the arrest of three of the gang members.
According to eyewitness report, the robbers were pursuit by the Operations Akpakwu unit as they exchange bullets.
While trying to escape from the policemen, one of the robbers driving lost control and fell into a deep gutter.
HGS Media Plus learnt that the driver of the armed robbers was a son to a former House Of Assembly Member in the State.
However, three of the robbers were arrested, one of them with bullet wound, while the three others escaped.
