A mother has brutalise her 8-year-old son with machete in Cross River, Calabar. HGS Media Plus reports.
HGS Media Plus gathered that the mother inflicted machete cut in her son’s head and arms.
Basic Right Council Initiative, (BRCI) a nonprofit organisation that helps children, shared the story via their twitter platform on Wednesday, December 2.
“The idea of using corporal punishment to discipline children by Nigerian parents, teachers, Guardians must be abolished.
“Children should be loved, treated with care and their opinions heard.
“Physical abuse has lifelong impacts in a child such as physiological and mental illness, low self-esteem, health complications and some times death”, BRCI wrote on Twitter.
