Man Sentenced To Life Imprisonment For Raping His 14-Year-Old Step Daughter In Cross River

One Emmanuel Thompson Udo, 47, have been sentenced to life imprisonment by the Family Court for raping his 14-year-old stepdaughter in Cross River State. HGS Media Plus reports.

According to report, Emmanuel was found guilty of rape and was sentenced to life imprisonment on Thursday, December 3.

HGS Media Plus learnt that Emmanuel raped his stepdaughter in August, 2018 in their house located at No. 45 Afokang Street, Calabar South LGA.

Emmanuel’s sentence was passed by the chief Judge of the Family Court, Hon. Justice E.E. Ita

A human right group, Basic Rights Counsel Initiative (BRCI) headed by Barr. James Ivor who shared the news via their Facebook page appreciated the Nigeria Police for helping to seek justice for the innocent girl.

All thanks to the Nigerian Police special investigators, the Hon. Attorney General, Hon. Tanko Ashang, the DPP-Mr Felix Itittim and Blessing Egwu for their effort in securing justice.Thanks to the Basic Rights Counsel Initiative team providing support to the survivor through out the period of investigation and trial.”
