A man’s hand was brutally cut with machete after allegedly being attacked by four person in Kapnor community, Khan’s LGA of Rivers State. HGS Media Plus Reports.
The man identified as Francis Batambari who hail from Kapnor community was ambushed and and attacked by unknown persons who inflicted him with machete cuts.
Consequently, the machete cuts almost resulted to amputation of his hand.
However, one of the suspect identified as Barisua Baaluube was apprehend by the Local Government security, KHASPAC few hours after the incident and was handled over to the Bori Police Station.
Nwibakpo Golden, a member of the KHASPAC who confirmed the incident said,
“The suspect who confessed to the crime, was apprehended few hours after the incidence was reported in our office and handed over to the Bori Police Station for further investigation and prosecution.
Recall that this crime would have triggered another communal crises between Kapnor and Luawii communities if not our prompt intervention.”
The victim is currently undergoing medical treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Bori.
