A TV thief escaped mob action from youths after stealing a plasma television in Wumba village, Abuja.

The thief, a 23-year-old man identified as Ejiofor was caught while stealing a plasma television from a woman’s house.

According to report, the house owner identified as Mrs Comfort Daniel left her house to go buy something leaving a 11-year-old son at home when the Ejiofor invaded the house.

Ejiofor entered the house and walked to the parlour were he removed the plasma television from the wall.

The woman’s son who saw him asked what he was looking for, and he told him that his mother, Mrs Comfort sent him to repair the television.

While the suspect was trying to leave, Mrs Comfort walked into the house and caught him. She quickly raised an alarm and Ejiofor was arrested by the youth and taken to the chief’s palace in Wumba.
