A man has taken the live of his 25 years old on Friday morning, 7 August after a quarrel that spin out between them over a bottle of beer.
The accident reportedly happened at Odoh-Owambe ll Community in Beebo Clan, Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Tragedy struck when the father popularly known as “The Tallest” met his son, ‘Agbor Henry’ drinking in a beer parlor and he asked him to buy him a drink. The son refused and asked him if it is now he remembered he is his son.
This turned into a serious quarrel that almost led to the son fighting his father.
HGS Media Plus learnt that Agbor Henry is the son of his father’s late lover, a police woman who died in a car accident years ago in Calabar and a youth president in the community.
He was said to have relocated back to the village after his mother’s death to live with the father who he claimed was not responsible.
However, the son was later tied up by the community youths and demanded a fine for trying to fight his father, but the father pleaded on his behave and he was released.
Unfortunately, the fight continued that same day when they got home, but this time there was noboby to separate the fight.
Henry brought out a gun which prompted his father to do same. While the deceased was trying to approached his father, he got shot.
Seeing his son’s dead body, the father went into hiding in the community forest, but was later caught and handed over to the police in Bateriko.
Report also gathered that his last son was shot to death by armed robbers and was to be buried that same day.
