Fulani Herdsmen Allegedly Shot A Farmer To Death In Imo State

Some Fulani Herdsmen has attacked a community at the Eastern part of Nigeria leaving dead a 65-year-old farmer, Ozemini Ireaka, they allegedly shot and machete to death in Imo State. HGS Media Plus report.

According to report, the farmers were farming on their land when some Herdsmen with cows approached the farm and destroyed their crops on the farm.

When the farmers saw the damages caused by the herdsmen’s cows, they requested that they move the cows away from the farm. Suddenly, one of the herdsmen turned back and started shooting at them.

The farmers started running for their lives, but unfortunately the herdsmen shot one of the farmers, Ozemini Ireaka, (the deceased) who is said to be from Umepke community.

The eyewitness who narrated their encounter with the herdsmen also reveal that Mr Ozemini’s body was dragged and cut with a machete on the head even after being shot.

“We are still entertaining fears, we need to be protected”, the eyewitness said.
