The rate of killings by security operatives has become a reoccurring event in the Nigeria, and the justice system has been a bit slow in delivering Justice to this victims and their families.

There have been series of cases of “happy trigger” security operatives brutalizing and shooting innocent civilians all in the name of enforcing lockdown in the State.

A 20-year-old 300L student of the University of Jos, (UNIJOS), identified as Rinji Peter Bala aka Bobo has been shot and killed by some soldiers in Jos.

HGS Media Plus learnt that Rinji was at his friend’s house when some security operatives arrested them, thinking they were thieves, the security operatives upon their released later shot and killed Rinji.

It is not clear if the friends of the deceased were also killed at the same time as they were not mention alongside Rinji who was shot.

Rinji was a student of the department of History and international studies before he was killed.
