Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi ll has been arrested today, Monday by security operatives and moved out of the ancient city amidst tight security.
Report gathered that the security operatives are heading to Nassarawa State where Sanusi will spend the rest of his life in asylum.
Sanusi was said to have been put under house arrest by the heavy security personnel of DDS, Police and Military.
The arrest was made after security personnel had sealed off the place.
HGS Media Plus learnt that a Source at the Government House has hinted that Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, who is presiding over an emergency Exclusive Council meeting is set to announce the new Emir any moment.
Report also gathered that the names of some powerful aristocrats with direct lineage to the Palace were tabled to appoint an Emir.
