Coronavirus: Ethiopia Comfirms First Case

The first case of coronavirus have being announced in Ethiopia on Friday, which is said to be the second hit in East Africa.

The health ministry said they confirmed a 48-year-old Japanese man who was said to have arrived the country on March 4 from Burkina Faso negative to the virus.

In a statement, the health ministry said, “The Japanese man is undergoing a medical follow-up and those who have been in contact with the man are being traced and quarantined”

Ethiopia is said to become the 15th country in Africa with a confirmed case of the virus that has swept the globe, infecting more than 130,000 people and killing about 5,000 since the outbreak in China December.
