BREAKING: Akure Explosion Destroys Houses, Church And School

An explosion blast rocked Akure, Ondo State in the early hours of on Saturday morning with at least 100 buildings, school and churches destroyed.

Many people were reportedly injured from the blast which happened less than a kilometers to the Akure Airport.

Many residents of Eleyowo community were affected by the blast, destroying a church and school in the area, according to reports.

People who lived in the church premises were also said to be injured by the blast and some rescued by the community people.

The boarding school facilities were said to be destroyed beyond repair with roofs of all the buildings blown off.

The explosion has cut off roads, preventing vehicle movement.
