A 30 years old man identified as Monday Uwem have been arrested by the Bayelsa state police for allegedly killing his 26 years old wife, Blessing Menaboo at Aparama fishing camp, Akassa.
Monday who murdered and buried his wife left her remains in a shallow grave he dug in their kitchen for allegedly dumping him for another man due to his bad character.
Neighbours were said to have uncovered the crime, apprehended the man and handed him over to the police.
Butswat Asinim, The State’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), confirmed the development saying the suspect confessed to the crime.
